A few weeks ago, I didn't know Nathalie. Today, a photo of her on a golf course probably gives me one of the best reasons to continue building JPJG.
A very simple meeting
Nathalie Habranc is a young paragolf player.
Our meeting was not born from a partnership, a sponsorship contract or a communication operation.
She was born much more simply. I discovered Nathalie, her love of golf, her course and the people who accompany her.
And I wanted to send him a JPJG polo shirt. A polo shirt on which a few words are embroidered that mean a lot to me:
"The Nobility of Commitment. "
There was nothing to expect in return.
Simply the pleasure of pleasing.
Then, a few days later, I received a photo.
And then there was that smile
Nathalie was on a fairway.
The JPJG polo shirt on your shoulders, a club raised above your head and, above all, a huge smile.
Bernadette, who accompanies Nathalie, simply wrote to me that she had worn the polo shirt to complete her journey.
I stood in front of this photo for a while. Because it ultimately told a lot more than I could have imagined when I created this polo shirt.
She talked about the pleasure of playing. The pride of being on a course. The joy of simply being there.
And this joy was terribly communicative.
When a few words take on their full meaning
Since the beginning of JPJG, I have used this expression:
The Nobility of Commitment.
I chose it because I deeply believe in the value of those who sincerely commit to what they do.
But a motto should not remain a pretty phrase embroidered on clothing.
She must eventually meet life.
And looking at Nathalie, I said to myself that the nobility of commitment was also that.
It's continuing to practice a sport that you love.
It’s having your place on a course.
It's being surrounded by people who encourage you.
It allows everyone to live their passion with others, with their differences, their strengths, their difficulties and, above all, with their personality.
Some idea of inclusion
JPJG is still a very small house.
Today I do not have the means to launch into sponsorship
— and even less the pretension of changing the world of golf.
But I can decide how this house will grow.
And among the values that I want to give it, inclusion occupies an important place.
Not as a marketing argument.
Not like a private collection. Not like a checkbox.
Simply as obvious:
Golf is more beautiful when everyone can find their place there.
I hope that JPJG can, on its own scale, encourage this vision. T
oday through small gestures.
Tomorrow, I hope, by having the means to support more players, as well as initiatives that make golf more accessible.
It will take time.
But it is precisely these meetings that make you want to continue.
Being there in the beginning
When I explained to Bernadette that JPJG was still too young to offer Nathalie real sponsorship, but that I hoped to one day be able to support her more if the house grew, she replied something that deeply touched me. touch:
"We will not forget that you were the first to give Nathalie a polo shirt. "
I don't think I'll forget that sentence either.
Because a young brand is of course built with products, customers, suppliers, prototypes, sales and a lot of work.
But a house is also built with meetings.
People who arrive at the beginning of the story and who, sometimes without knowing it, give it a little more meaning.
Nathalie is now one of them.
Thank you Nathalie
So I just wanted to write these few lines to say thank you.
Thank you for this photo.
Thank you for this smile.
Thank you for carrying JPJG on a course.
And above all, thank you for reminding me that beyond polo shirts, caps, towels and everything I imagine for tomorrow, there is something much more important:
The pleasure of being together around the same game.
Keep raising your clubs this high, Nathalie.
And above all, keep smiling like that.
Because finally...
This is also the Nobility of commitment.
