Approach shots

Text inspired by a reflection from my friend Maurice.

When you discover golf, you often imagine that everything comes down to long drives.

Those spectacular shots that cross the fairway and attract attention.

Then you exchange ideas with more experienced golfers.

And sometimes, one of them simply slips in a sentence.

“The important shots in golf are the approach shots.”

This sentence stayed with me.

Because it may not be talking only about golf.

Approach shots are rarely the most impressive.

They do not get the crowds on their feet.

They simply require precision, patience, and consistency.

And yet, they are often what makes it possible to finish a beautiful journey.

I believe the same is true of many human endeavors.

A company is not built solely through major announcements.

It is also built through the details.

The time taken to prepare an order.

A message answered with care.

A commitment honored.

A sincere thank-you.

These gestures are discreet.

They will probably never make the headlines on social media.

But repeated day after day, they eventually build something precious: trust.

That is probably what I would like to build with JPJG.

A company that does not seek only the big shots.

A company that places as much importance on the quiet gestures.

Because deep down, perhaps they are the ones that make all the difference.
