The encounters that give travel meaning

Les rencontres qui donnent un sens au voyage

We sometimes spend a great deal of time talking about projects, goals, success, or failure.

Over time, I have come to realize that these probably aren’t the memories that will remain etched in my mind.

What I will remember are the people.

Those who crossed my path, sometimes without even knowing it. Those who extended a helping hand, offered advice, shared a smile, or simply believed in a budding idea.

Maurice is one of those people.

Long before JPJG existed, he talked to me about golf with the quiet passion of sincere people. Listening to him, I wasn’t just discovering a sport; I was discovering a world built on respect, patience, nature, and human connections.

Today, he became the first person to receive a JPJG order in person.

The first customer.

But above all, one of the first people to believe that this adventure deserved to exist.

So this photo isn’t one of a delivery.

It’s a thank-you.

Because deep down, a brand isn’t built solely with products.

It is built with women and men who agree to write the first lines of its story.

As we said goodbye, Maurice handed me a small package.

Inside was a set of golf balls that he had personalized with the name of his company—the company where we worked together until I left last December.

It wasn’t an expensive gift.

But it was a gift rich with history.

It reminded me of how far I had come.

The challenges.

The doubts.

The moments when you wonder whether you will ever find your place again.

Maurice witnessed many of those stages.

Without grand speeches.

Simply being there.

And I believe that it is often these quiet presences that build the strongest friendships.

Thank you, Maurice.

For your trust.

For your enthusiasm.

And above all... for your friendship.
